Today is World Consumer Rights Day and in true fashion, we wanted to pay tribute to being a consumer. It's no exaggeration that being a consumer in this day and age is difficult.
"World Consumer Rights Day, celebrated on March 15 every year, is a global event that aims to raise awareness about consumer rights and needs. Consumer rights mean that every person who buys various products, goods, and services, has the right to have information on the quality, purity, price, and standard of those products." (National Today)
As much as it is the responsibility of the retailer or the service provider to be conscious and aware when trading, it is also just as important if not more for consumers to be wary of how to practice good etiquette when trading.
This is why we took this opportunity to touch base with the Consumer Queen, Wendy Knowler. She gave us her top tips on how to protect yourself as a consumer. Sometimes, it pays to go back to basics and take responsibility for ourselves.
