Trianne Amarchund, a mother, a wife, a Masters student in Criminology, a lecturer, a youth pastor, a volunteer at a programme called 'Expose Hope', and also an Entrepreneur.
What began as something mediocre turned into a creative expression that caters to the world of play and imagination. She started her business, LaeltheLabel, which is the first novelty crayon business in South Africa, after cleaning up her daughter's room one day during lockdown.

Her efforts have not gone unnoticed as she has made it to the finals of the Entrepreneurship Development in Higher Education (EDHE) national Entrepreneurship Intervarsity Challenge to be held in Pretoria in November.
Yes, that's a long one, we know. But it is such an honour knowing that a Durbanite, a mother, a woman who concerns herself with the upliftment of community spirit and family, but also has a flammable sense of creativity is representing our province.

I'm a big advocate for learning through play. In fact, I'm some where in the middle of unschooling, home-schooling and no schooling ...if such a place exists! Learning is fun. Learning is important. Learning is personal. Learning is curiosity. Learning is play. Learning is not specific. Learning is empowering. Learning is magical. Learning is colorful. Our products are created and designed with these (and other) values in mind.
We absolutely love her sense of unpredictability and it shows us that as women, the sky isn't even a limitation for us. We can do whatever we want and we can do it, it just takes a step into action, some passion and perseverance.
