A beautiful book that teaches you about never giving up...Perfect sentiment...
Carol Ofori has been on many sweet escapes with KZN Tourism and she gets to meet lots of interesting people. One in particular happened to be, Bridget Johnson.
She came through to the Ingeli Forest Lodge, when she heard that Carol was in Kokstad. As a first time author, she gifted Carol with a book, entitled Victor Aardvark. This sparked a look into the life of Bridget Johnson and her very magical upbringing...
We caught up with Bridget so that she could share some of her wisdom with us this woman crush Wednesday. The thing is that not only does she have the amazing words that great writers possess, she has the ability to weave them together in a way that grasps you as a reader.
That came from being an avid reader, and having a dream to become a writer. She speaks about her amazing and imaginative childhood and it transports you to her memories.
The story of Victor Aardvark, came from her own personal experience of loss, but the character Victor came from Bridget seeing an aardvark in her hometown of East Griqualand. She is a farmer there and gets to see many different gems from nature.
Take a listen to her speak about her childhood, always wanting to be a writer, and more.

We love how she explains the process of writing a story. She admits that as a writer you almost give away a part of yourself, which ironically is very similar to being a presenter. Carol Ofori gives a little bit of herself to her listeners daily.
If you would like to purchase the book, you can on Victor Aardvark's website page, here. They also have social media presence on Instagram and Facebook.
