YouTuber Jordan Cheyenne gets cancelled for telling her son to cry for a thumbnail image for her video...
It's not the first time we have seen the effects that being overactive on social media can have on a person's mental health. Feeling depressed or alone, emotional, overwhelmed or anxious are just some of the things a person can feel when they require help.
But it doesn't just end there. Displaying behaviour patterns that show you consciously care more about an image that you are portraying on social media than being present with your child or family, this is definitely a big glaring red flag that you may need a social media break.
A popular YouTuber, Jordan Cheyenne, who has owned the space of fitness, lifestyle, and being a single parent, has officially been cancelled online.
She mistakenly released an unedited video about her family's new puppy being ill to her 500,000 subscribers, which caused them much stress and it was an emotional affair. She asked everyone to keep the pup in their prayers.
The video shows Cheyenne telling her son, who is emotional, to pose as if he is crying for the cover image. Her son keeps saying "But mom, I am crying" and it looks like he really just needs her to stop and comfort him, but she just keeps on ignoring his feelings and persists in showing him how to pose.
Cheyenne deleted the vlog, but the footage was re-uploaded on various social-media platforms and caused widespread outrage, Business Insider reports.

Cheyenne said in a statement to Insider: "Getting completely offline, canceling all videos and monetization, and prioritizing my child are all I care about. I'm disgusted and horrified at what I did and there is absolutely no excuse. It's terrible on so many levels. I love my child more than anything and will regret this moment forever."
She added that she would not comment on any videos about her, and would be prioritising her family, Business Insider adds.
We have always stood by the firm belief that each to their own when it comes to parenting, but when you willingly put yourself out there for the world to see you as a parenting advisor of some sort, then how can you go against the foundation of being a good parent and lose focus?
We just hope that she can spend this time away from social media by being a conscious and present parent.
