A tweet that promotes a tub of Vicks that expired in 1987 yet still worked its magic gets some attention online...
When the flu comes knocking, we all have our go-to concoctions that we turn to for help. In all honesty, it has been a tricky affair when it comes to getting ill, especially since the introduction of COVID-19 into our lives.
People get jumpy when they hear a sneeze or a cough, because the fear sets in and our minds automatically associate any of the symptoms with the COVID-19 virus. But what about those home remedies that our parents and grandparents used to use as a way of treating illness - do you still use these remedies today?

A woman recently posted a pic of a vintage tub of Vicks VapoRub that received lots of attention online. It wasn't just the fact that it was a vintage tub of Vicks, it was the fact that it was the same tub that her mother used on her as a child and that she in turn decided to use on her son who was not feeling well.
The tub of Vicks expired in 1987 and she went on to say that she used it on her ill son.
Guess what? It worked just as well. People got nostalgic as they shared their own Vicks VapoRub memories on the post.
Check out the post below from her Twitter page:
