A case of mistaken identity or amnesia...

After Benedict the crow was born with a heart defect, he was unable to fly with his flock.

A woman saw him sitting in the same spot for a few days and decided to adopt him.

Varvara Underwood observed him and took him home, she then contacted a vet because Benedict was just a few weeks old.

After feeding him hourly for the first couple of weeks, she found that he connected with being part of the family.

She found Benedict to be "incredibly curious". Underwood also has another crow as a pet, Archasia, who happens to enjoy taking naps with his ball.

Despite Underwood's vet telling her that Benedict and Archasia would not get along, they have grown used to one another.

However, Benedict has adopted very similar habits to a dog. He is very protective over Underwood, and also waits for her at the door upon her arrival home with a toy in his mouth.

Benedict also believes that Underwood is his partner. Because of the love she has given him and perhaps the fact that she saved him, he has imprinted on her.
