WATCH: TikToker Khaby Lame has become the silent movie star who earns millions after being jobless

Khabane 'Khaby' Lame has made a statement online after losing his job during the pandemic...
There have been many things that we have seen over the past 17 months that we never thought we may see, maybe in a movie or in a book, but never did we think we would be living through a pandemic.
When it comes to entertainment, we have seen Spider-Man dancing at birthday parties, Deadpool moving around the streets of Durban, and we have seen many, many people become overnight social media sensations. All it takes is good content that appeals to the masses and boom you can grow your following by the millions.
Khabane 'Khaby' Lame is a Senegalese-born 21-year-old who has been staying in Italy since he was a year old. He lost his job last year when the pandemic began and was finding it difficult to make ends meet.
He turned to social media and began making videos that would be appealing to the masses and boy, oh, boy did it work. He has grown his following to over 100-million on his TikTok and over 33-million followers on Instagram.
His videos seem simple enough as he literally shows other social media users who try to go for the obscene or larger than life approach to get their videos noticed, and applies simple logic to their versions as a response.
His videos apply a common sense to things that people do that are just cra-cra. For instance, the below video that got over 100-million views shows a guy who broke his phone because it didn't fit into the new cover he bought. Khaby shows how this was all unnecessary.
The greatest part of the entertainment that he provides is that he doesn't say a word. He is what we call a modern day "silent movie" creator, the Charlie Chaplin of the 21st century.

Khaby is a clear indication of what someone can do when they find what interests them and others, and creates a market for it.
"The star told the US newspaper that the success behind his videos are down to the fact that he speaks a 'global language', saying he has a huge following in Brazil and South America.
"While the work opportunities have flooded in since his rise to the top of the TikTok rankings, he says he's not yet set for life...rather earning 'steadily' - but plans to snap up a house for his mother as soon as he can afford it." (Daily Mail)
