WATCH: Mom lands in hot water for throwing away child's art
Updated | By East Coast Radio
A video of a little girl calling her mother out for throwing her art away has created quite the discussion online.
We can all relate to getting caught out doing something that was not necessarily expected of us. But when it's your kid who calls you out on it, what is the right thing to say?
Is there a right thing to say? With kids, you never know because their level of intuition and reading whether you are lying or speaking the truth is uncanny.
A video that received some attention recently shows a little girl asking her mum why she threw out the picture she made for her. Her mum is heard apologising, saying that it was an accident...
This spurred some reactions from other parents and as much as it is heartbreaking to see this little girl in her feelings about her 'art' ending up in the bin, it's a reality, can you really keep all their works of art?
There was a mixed reaction from other Twitter users, with one saying: "Yeah, she really wasn't. What if she has discouraged the next world class artist? These things are important."
While another admitted: "Kids do sometimes several pictures a day. Some get framed, some get binned. Some you take photos of for later. Can't keep everything or you'll be swimming in paper, unfortunately."
Then one person went bold and said: "You gotta bury those deep in the bin!!!! I just cried actually!"
So we can safely say that many parents are inclined to do this, and it's just another parenthood moment...
Watch the video below and then take our poll... don't worry we won't tell anyone your answer (video courtesy of Twitter):
