We didn't know that fish could choke on their food. Did you?
Having a pet comes with great responsibility. That is why it is so important to be learned in your pets needs and how to care for them in the best ways, before getting a pet of your choice.
Many people would opt for fish as a pet because they assume it is a low maintenance pet. But that's quite the contrary. Goldfish thrive on love and can also be quite an entertaining pet to have.
It is rare that we see videos of pet owners saving their goldfish, maybe we sound ignorant but we didn't know that goldfish could choke. If you knew that then good for you, you are on the right track of being a goldfish pet owner.
A man from Illinois, USA, shared a video of him saving his goldfish, Clarence, from choking on a piece of plant. He said that as he was going to retire for the night, he noticed that Clarence didn't look right.

It was very attentive of the man to notice that Clarence was struggling and to act fast. We guess that we would prioritise that as the number one thing to do in any emergency, to stay calm. Because when you panic, it becomes difficult to think logically and clearly.
Luckily, the pet owner was calm and prepared, he used a set of tweezers to delicately pull out a piece of plant from Clarence's mouth. Clarence looked like he needed a minute to recuperate but we're certain he's feeling better.
If you are ever in a situation with your pet and you do not know how to handle it, you can call a veterinarian for help. Alternatively, if you are unable to contact a Vet, then call a pet shop, they are quite knowledgeable.
