WATCH: Leopard spotted trying to hunt two porcupines

Ouch, that looks painful!
We know that the wild is just that, wild. But when you see the aftermath, it somehow makes it too real.
But you see this is where we have to change our mindsets and the way we think.
Wild animals were created to think, behave, and act instinctively. Their entire way of life is based on a cycle that we cannot wrap our heads around.
But the reality is that the food cycle and phrases like 'eat or be eaten' are real things in the wild.
And animals have to live using their very unique and specific defence mechanisms. For instance, in this case, the porcupine who was being hunted used its quills to protect itself from the leopard.
But things did not quite go as planned.

Even though his quills poked the leopard all over his face, the leopard's animal instinct and strength, not to mention his hunger, outweighed the pokey quills.
Sadly, this little porcupine didn't survive the hunt, but at least he didn't go down without a fight.
