WATCH: KZN'S No.1 dancing team shake their tailfeathers this month of Heritage...
Updated | By East Coast Radio
With the will to play great music, comes the will to dance to the beat...
We live in a family of music lovers and that is a given amidst our entire team at East Coast Radio.
But with music comes dancing, and we cannot say we know of any two things that coincide as well as these two.
Dance to us is the body's way of appreciating the rhythm and beat of the music. It would be an injustice to not move or at least bop your head to some part of a song.
In essence, dance is version of saluting or bowing to a great piece of art.
As we take time to honour this special day in South Africa and celebrate our very unique, very diverse portrayal of heritage, we wanted to share a very special dance afternoon we had not long ago.
A few weeks back, Carol Ofori hosted Mumbai dance instructor, director, and choreographer, Javed Sanadi.
He could not come to East Coast Radio house and not engage with our family of music and dance lovers.
And so a group of our colleagues got together to learn some very spicy, very hip Bollywood moves with Javed.
It was exciting, fun, and sort of a workout (not that we complaining), but most of all it was a celebration of heritage.
A part of heritage that has been around for centuries and continues to connect people from varied backgrounds.
Dance.
So today we wanted to share a bit of the shaking, popping, and hip thrusting action from our time with Javed Sanadi.
