But we're not sure that we would want to see our child celebrating in the same way that this young boy did. His 18th birthday will forever be etched in his memory with a sense of tension...
This teenager celebrated his birthday with a group of Brazilian police officers after he got arrested and was being booked in at the police station in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil.
The police officers checked his identity document and noticed that it was his birthday, so they decided to throw him a party in jail. The video shows them clapping and singing for him. He, however, doesn't look very impressed by the celebration...
According to Metro, the teenager was apprehended for allegedly stealing a car stereo. What a way to celebrate your birthday?! We're not sure if this was the most ideal way of celebrating, but we are certain that it was definitely memorable.
It was also mentioned that the military police made a statement saying that they were not aware of this celebration and would investigate the 'party' and the officers involved. As much as we think the gesture was kind, we don't think it speaks well for the authorities involved.
Nevertheless, we are choosing to celebrate with all of them for choosing to find the lightheartedness in the situation.
