Women are leading themselves into traditionally male-dominated fields daily, whether that is in the mechanical industry or the wrestling industry. They are no longer conforming to the limitations that society has placed on them.

So when we saw this young female mechanic post this video on TikTok, we realised that, sadly, there are still some closed-minded people in this world. Nevertheless, we loved the way she ended the video off with a montage of her working in the field she loves and the underlying message - watch me stay!

Interestingly enough, the one comment that caught our eyes first read: "My husband who is a mechanic just said 'that guy looks like he's never touched a tool in his life.'"

Then the direction turned when some commenters said that this could have been taken the wrong way, and that the guy in the video could've been advising her that this was a dead end job, or that she belonged in another industry in a positive and supportive way.

So we checked her page and found that she also posted the uncut version of him speaking, and admitted that she was actually trying for him to not look so bad. Check the video below (courtesy of TikTok):

Guys 😅 this video is a real raw video of the haters 😂 I didn’t cut it to make him look bad. If anything I cut it to make him look better 😅

A guy who went by the name of 'Kyle' commented saying that he knew the guy, and his name is Patrick. He went on to say that what he said in the video was messed up and that he seemed like a cool dude when he had worked with him.

The video was enraging for some, both men and women, but others shared their own experiences and we think that they needed a space to share. One woman said: "Female plumber here for the last 17 years. Thriving while guys like this stay mad."

Preach it, girl.

We love that she brought up something that should not be acceptable, whether he was fooling around or not. It's not right to talk down to anyone, regardless of their gender or any other aspect.
