We are all for beauty tips and hacks, especially when it comes to things that include ingredients that are natural. The beauty industry has grown tremendously when it comes to the advancements in skincare. From anti-ageing to addressing pigmentation to being able to address different types of skin in bespoke ways.
Our skin is the first thing that we see every day, our mask to the world, and it goes through a lot daily. From being exposed to heat, to dust, to shedding off dead cells, to being lathered with make-up or mosquito repellents. So it goes to show that in order to preserve it, we must care for it.
A beauty soap that has recently made its mark in Amman, Jordan, is a Donkey Milk Beauty Soap. Yes, you read that right, there is such a thing and if you are interested in experimenting with new and charismatic beauty trends, then this one is definitely a must to try.
According to the co-founders in Jordan, at first when they pursued this idea, they were mocked and ridiculed because people didn't associate beauty with 'donkey milk'. But in the name of beauty, we have to be willing to try new things.

Many of the sceptics have changed their minds when it comes to trying out the soap. So much so that one of the co-founders said that many people said they "would use nothing on (their) skin related to donkeys. But after trying the soap, all that changed, and now we produce more than 4 500 bars of soap per month to meet the demand." (IOL)
"Donkey's milk is said to be rich in minerals and proteins that can help moisturise the skin. It also has high levels of antioxidants, which protect the skin from sunlight and the effects of ageing, according to beauticians. One litre of milk produces around 30 bars of soap, but milking each female is a painstaking task done with the help of a hand-held electronic pump." (IOL)
According to research, donkey's milk can help with the regeneration of skin cells as well as help cure skin conditions such as eczema. The soap also contains coconut oil, almond oil, olive oil, and shea butter and retails for between R160 to R200 depending on the size of the bar.
