Updated | By East Coast Radio
Carol Ofori has mentioned on-air that she is a lover of pepperoni pizza and the best she has ever had was in the USA. However, Domino's Australia has taken a bold move by trying out a watermelon pizza...
A TikTok video by Domino's Australia has their customers up in arms thinking that they may add this on their menu. What are we talking about? Well, a TikToker posted a video showing off a watermelon-based pizza and Domino's decided to try it out, with marinara sauce and pepperoni, too...
We know that Carol Ofori is a pepperoni pizza lover and when it comes to finding the perfect fit, she has not had the best of experiences with pizza places in SA. She shared with everyone that the best she's ever tasted was in the US and many places have tried to romance her with their cheesy options...
"The pizza chain shared a video of its workers going to extreme lengths to create a 'low-carb' watermelon pizza...the clip shows an employee creating a pizza using a thick watermelon slice as the crust, followed by a marinara, cheese, and pepperoni topping," Daily Dot reports.
Their inspiration came from TikToker Oliver Patterson, aka @elburritomonster, who tried this out weeks ago. He said: "I can't actually recommend this enough."

So the pizza chain took on the challenge and tried it out as a 'low-carb' option and even went on to say that it's most likely an acquired taste...
"This is equally confronting to us, but it does look pretty good out the oven,” a narrator said in the video. “We think it might be an acquired taste.”

We asked Carol Ofori whether this was acceptable in terms of her pizza standards and she was not impressed. She said a watermelon, just like a banana, has no place being on a pizza or anywhere near a pizza. However, she said that she doesn't mind pineapple or avocado on a pizza...
What do you think? Would you try a watermelon pizza just for fun?
