To pee or to diaper?
What's been causing chatter on the net recently? You won't believe it, but it's got to do with peeing in public...
It's not what you think it is, though...
As women it can be a very sensitive topic, especially because many women experience involuntarily urination after child birth. More than that, many female athletes experience Stress Urinary Incontinence, which is described as an unintentional loss of urine experienced during exercise by active women.
"With mild SUI, pressure may be from sudden forceful activities, like exercise, sneezing, laughing or coughing. If your SUI is more severe, you may also leak with less forceful activities like standing up, walking or bending over. Urinary "accidents" like this can range from a few drops of urine to enough to soak through your clothes." (Urology Health)
A women by the name of Hunter Henderson, who is an athlete with several accolades behind her name, has SUI. Her videos have received a mixed response from social media users.
When she does deadlifts, she involuntarily pees, and this has caused some people to be up in arms about the unsanitary nature of her exposing her condition in public places.

Of course, it's a double-edged sword. She has her personal reasons for not taking measures to control the peeing, but it is also invasive for everyone else who is around her using the gym.
Not to mention a tad bit cringe...
Personal hygiene is so important, if a pandemic didn't teach us that then it was a wasted lesson...
Many people have shared their views about the fact that her action in not doing anything to control her condition is negligent to the people around her and the person with the task of cleaning up after her.
This is the video that got people talking on Twitter:
This is the girl who knows this happens every time and refuses to wear some kind of pad. So she got banned from the place as its a hazard having to clean up after her https://t.co/pSlWfFGcy9

She has reached out with a post on her Instagram sharing her condition and asking people to be mindful. In addition, she shares a video of herself wearing panties that stop her from peeing, a sponsorship with a brand called, Depend Brand.
The good news is that after wearing the panties, she doesn't pee, which means it helps her control her condition whilst weightlifting.

Check out some of the chitter chatter on Twitter around her condition:
I’m not seeing the point in this… the problem is her not wearing proper sanitary items that could prevent wetting herself and other people having to see that. If you know you involuntarily pee then wear pads or a diaper 🤷🏾♀️

Are you sure she got banned? All the comments I’ve seen (that claimed to know something about the situation) said she always cleans up after herself and that it’s a powerlifting gym or something so most of the people there aren’t even fazed. I have no idea tho

The number of people in these comments shaming her is awful. I know nothing about powerlifting so this may be the norm but if she’s cleaning it up and disinfecting, people need to chill with the judgmental crap. #ableism

Yeah no, this is definitely a choice to pee in a public space without any form of protection. You can even call it selfish knowing others are paying to use that same space you’re choosing to pee all over!!!
