Fashion forward lingerie company Victoria's Secret abandon their angels as their brand evolves...
Victoria's Secret, the American Lingerie company that has been synonymous with its fashionista style and its legendary Angels, have now changed their branding after being around since the 1990s.
With the likes of Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum and Gisele Bündchen as the Angels, the brand has decided to de-wing the angels and move forward into partnerships with Indian Actress and Entrepreneur Priyanka Chopra Jones and Megan Rapinoe, gender equality activist and pro soccer player.
Victoria's Secret has re-envisioned its brand association when it comes to its culture and has moved forward with partnering with inspirational women and activists to reshape its image.
The brand has now moved into a pallette of serving women, what they believe women want, iconic leaders who have unique and inspirational voices: a drastic shift but something that can be considered bold and fresh, which is what women need.
I've known that we needed to change this brand for a long time, we just haven't had the control of the company to be able to do it.- Martin Waters (Victoria's Secret CEO)
