A traffic cop brings in the New Year with a spring in his step...

A beautiful way to bring in the New Year...
We have to admit that we have seen people do some unbelievable things on New Year's Eve, most of the time it's driven by the influence of alcohol. Case in point, the incident in Richards Bay where the driver of a Range Rover took his car for a swim...
But this story has a positive and happy feeling to it, and didn't end in sadness for any drivers. An Instagram user posted an uplifting reel on Monday of a traffic officer with a spring in his step.
It so happens that he had to work on New Year's Day and he definitely made it a happy new year for everyone!
He was stationed at an intersection in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape when the video was recorded. Bjorn Steinbach shared the video and it certainly has brightened up the internet.
The post reads: THIS TRAFFIC COP from Gqeberha WORKING ON NEW YEARS DAY...BRINGING THE RIGHT ENERGY INTO 2022… NO MATTER WHAT. HE JUST SAVED 2022 AND AND DOESN’T EVEN KNOW IT ! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE…" (Instagram)

It really got people in the right mood for 2022 and we absolutely love his energy. Bjorn is completely correct when he says that not all heroes wear capes... This traffic officer is definitely our 2022 hero...
