Do something that scares you this year...
It's the New Year, and with that comes hope, a renewed sense of starting things off on a fresh note, and, well, also, another 365 days of challenges. For some, the new year brings new opportunities, a chance to do it better than the year before.
But there are others who just bring in the new year without any goals or aspirations. Most of the time, it's because they don't want to be disappointed or because of the 'F' word.

No, not that one, I am referring to 'fear', notice how it's not in caps, I did that on purpose (it wasn't just because it goes in line with the rules of English sentence writing). I wanted to emphasise that fear is something that we create for ourselves, we give it power, which means we can also demolish it and take back our power...
As I was scrolling through my social media newsfeed, which I consciously try not to do often, I found a message from the very successful, very intelligent, very driven, Shonda Rhimes. If you are a writer, then you will understand when I say, how cool it must be to be inside the mind of this great woman!
The things she has behind her name is nothing short of mind-blowing. The stories she has created pushes us into another realm, and that is ultimately what every writer aims to do. So, of course, she would come in with some life-changing, profound sense of advice when it comes to fear... And I would be trusting to listen and so should you...
Why? Because her success is the proof. If she has accomplished all this, then she must be doing something right. So my challenge this year is to listen to her words and try to tackle something that scares me, what will you do?
Let your fears rule you or demolish them and be your own heroin?
