The ultimate love story...
Just one day after that 'auspicious' day of love, where many people take the opportunity to dive into that feeling of being in love and doting over their Valentine, this story appears.
This love story may not have started on the best of circumstances but it definitely was meant to be. Zechariah and Shama’a were just 10 and 12 when they got married.
As orphans in Yemen, they decided to get married young to avoid being wed off to others, and being forced to abandon their faith and culture. Shama'a speaks about how they didn't have a home, they cleaned the donkey's barn, and that's where they slept.

The two became parents to 11 children and now they have 65 grand and great-grand children. Can you even imagine?!
As much as we do not support the idea of child marriages, there is something respectful about taking back your power in this situation. The fact that they made this decision for themselves, and also pushed past things like poverty and persecution, shows the depth of their relationship.
It also shows how sometimes in life, your partner in life comes to you in unconventional ways.
