#ThankfulTuesday: Chatsworth Police station adopt Thokoza Care Centre for the Aged
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Remembering the elderly is definitely something special...
We really do get excited to hear stories that make us even more grateful.
And this one was even more positive because it was a commitment from the Chatsworth police station to the elderly people in that community.
So often, we see people forget about the elderly in our community. And if we're honest, we always use time as an excuse.
The truth is if we want to do something, we will make the time, and far too often we choose what's more or less convenient for us.
In this case, we were happy to hear the commitment from the Chatsworth Police station toward the Thokoza Care Centre for the Aged.
"The dedicated and compassionate personnel at the Chatsworth police station recently adopted the Thokoza Care Centre for the Aged, pledging to conduct regular visits and outreach programmes, thus bringing hope and happiness to the elderly residents." (Rising Sun)
The excitement and joy they created by gifting the residents with Christmas presents last December, was overwhelmingly fulfilling.
And we can completely understand that.
Not only was the day filled with joy and laughter, but it was extremely humbling to see the police station commit to engaging with the elderly.
