#ShakeItOff: This woman takes a classic approach to her cheating boyfriend's text message
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Do you still have your ex's text messages?
When it comes to finding the funny in life, we are almost certain that it's the best way to deal with pretty much anything. Not to say that we will laugh when we lose a loved one, but more like, we will choose to appreciate the great memories that loved one left us with.
You catch our drift? In terms of turning something bad, sad, and hurtful into something good, we can give this songwriter slash TikTok sensation a beeeeeeg thumbs up.
Jax, who is known for her parody tunes on TikTok, has created a funny and relatable video that has gained lots of attention since being posted last week. She found an ex-boyfriend's text message explaining why he cheated and decided to put a fun twist on it.
She asked her friend, who happens to be a violinist named Lindsey Stirling, to play a sad melody whilst she read out the text message.
"Jax said she wrote the jingle based on texts she rediscovered from an ex a few years back," she told Insider.

When writing, you kind of always take artistic license to make it work, really just a word here and there. But the song is really pretty close to the actual.- Jax

The duo admitted that it took them three takes to complete the video, the reason being that they were overcome with laughter during the first two attempts.
"After posting the tune, Jax added a callout in the comments, asking viewers to send her their own ex's apology texts. They've since received hundreds of screenshots from fans and plan to turn the apology texts into a TikTok series." (Insider)
We love how she approached it and on this 'Shake It Off' Friday, we think that you should apply this lighthearted approach to anything that is stressing you out this week...
