Robby Collins brings his incredible brand of comedy to the ECR studio
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Known for finding comedy in painful experiences, he will surely bring the light amidst all the dark...
We are used to the studio being a light-hearted space with the all-day laughs that award-winning comedian Rory Petzer provides.
But today we have Durban royalty in the house. Carol Ofori and the team welcome Durban-born Robby Collins into the studio.
Mid-morning radio will not be the same again after we all have been touched by the 'realist' and comedically brazen talents of Collins.
"His is the kind of comedy that seeks out the funny in otherwise painful experiences." (Robby Collins)
Robby Collins is known for his talented acting career on the Durban theatre circuit, while he also opened for Trevor Noah during all his 'Day Walker' shows in 2010.
Robby's calibre of talent has also been recognised by other powerhouse comedians such as Marc Lottering, Eugene Khoza, John Vlismas, and Kagiso Lediga.
And we all remember that time he posted a pic of himself seated next to his idol, Dave Chappelle.
His post was a surreal reminder that everyone starts somewhere and even the most famous stars once fanboy'd or fangirl'd their idols.
Check him out sharing his story below in the studio. Courtesy of Facebook.
Robby Collins will perform beside his Durban counterpart, Carvin H Goldstone, at Dropkick Murphys on Florida Road this evening.
Check out one of his performances where he talks about when King Charles became King...

We have to say that we couldn't be more proud of what our Durban talents have achieved - and Robby Collins is a great indicator of that.
Born in Wentworth, he has managed to walk the path to success.
