A retail clerk is surprised with a homecooked meal after a long shift
Updated | By East Coast Radio
All we need is a little bit of kindness and some mac and cheese to make our day...
Not everyone values their responsibilities when it comes to fulfilling their workroles. Some people take things lightly, while others take things more seriously and attach more integrity to their responsibilities.
Whether their job involves serving customers, managing a business, or being a radio personality, some are just naturally more invested than others. In this story, the level of responsibility inspired a good deed and that's the main message we want you all to take away here.
A woman who visited a gas station to get some lighter fluid, noticed the clerk and said to him that she would bring some food for him before his shift was over. Of course, sometimes people say things and never actually follow through, that's just part of life.
But imagine the surprise and shock that this clerk experienced when he sees the lady come back with a homecooked meal. He was manning the store alone and therefore could not leave his post, and that kind of dedication deserves a kind deed.

It is so easy for us to just live on autopilot mode, forgetting that just doing something for someone else, like a mere smile, can make such a huge impact in both your lives. So to see what this woman did, and more than that to see the reaction from the clerk, was inspiring.
The woman went back to check in on the clerk, who was so humbled by her gesture. He shared that he had been working for 16 hours that day and couldn't leave to go get food. Check out the video below, courtesy of TikTok.
