'Ratings for Schools': A one-stop site to choose the perfect school for your kids
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Created by The Oforis, this site is meant to help parents on their quest to find the perfect school for their kids...
When Carol Ofori and her family moved to Durban, it was a big change for the whole family.
Safe to say it was challenging for all of them to transition from their life in Johannesburg to Durban.
As parents, one of the most important things when moving to a new town is to find a good school for the kids.
One of the things that the Ofori family found challenging was a reference point to search for schools for their children.
Being in a new town meant asking people for their input - and sometimes word of mouth isn't the only source you want to rely on. After all, you are entrusting your children with strangers, essentially.
Which is why Carol Ofori and her husband, Greg Ofori, decided to create a safe space online for parents all around South Africa. A hub for both schools and parents to use to make an informed decision.
So, they created 'Ratings for Schools' - a website that can be accessed for free. It is basically a school finding portal.
You can find schools based on your financial needs, your location, your specifications can also include special needs schools, extra mural activities or academics.

Carol Ofori openly shared how difficult it was for them and had they had a source such as Ratings for School when they moved, life would've been that much easier when it came to school searching.
Besides the convenience it offers for parents, it allows schools to list on the site, opening the spectrum to schools all around South Africa to feature on the website.
This is definitely a plus for all parents. You can search for schools by visiting the site, just go to: www.ratingsforschools.co.za.
