PARENTING: Serena Williams authors first children's book inspired by daughter's doll
Story time is the most important time with your kids...
Serena Williams is definitely a woman that has proven time and time again that she has many talents.
Qai Qai is her daughter's favourite doll and has earned her own internet celebrity status. Olympia's favourite doll has her own Instagram account and breathes life into her videos with both bursts of adorableness and spunk.
"Qai Qai now boasts over 3.5 million fans as Serena and Alexis continue to share Olympia's toy with fans both in-person and on Instagram." (MSN)
So it doesn't really come as news to us that something more was coming from this characteristic yet empowering baby doll. Serena Williams announced on Thursday that she would be releasing her first children's book, 'The Adventures of Qai Qai', which is available online now and will be published next year September.

Storytime is such an important pillar of our bedtime routine, like so many others around the world. Qai Qai is a special member of our family and we hope The Adventures of Qai Qai will give others a new way to welcome Qai Qai into their own home.

The message that runs through the book empowers "children to believe that with confidence and imagination, you are never alone." Not only is that powerful to all of us - even adults need some empowering now and then, it is so important for little kids to learn this and believe it at a young age.
It then forms a strong foundation for them and sets the tone for the way they live and eventually how they handle life as they grow up. We love the energy around the story and definitely the messaging and look forward to reading the book...
