OPINION: Can a man really be labeled a cheater if he has a deep voice?
What type of voice does your partner have?
Everyone has different tastes when it comes to finding their prospective partners. Some have a very tailored type, while others just go with the feeling. Either way, it's safe to say that everyone's type is varied.
When we came across this headline about your man's voice being associated with whether or not he will cheat or commit... now that got us wide-eyed and shocked!

"A study found that masculine men with deeper than average voices are more likely to cheat and less likely to commit to a steady relationship." (The South African)
Shock, horror, and more shock. How is that even possible? As in, how can we even determine that, conclusively anyway? No doubt that there is a strong stereotype that supports that men with deeper voices are thought of as more attractive.
"A team of researchers from a Chinese university used data from 116 male students and 145 female students who were in short relationships and were each recorded saying the same phrases so scientists could measure the depth of their voices." (The South African)
The study also asked the participants if they would, in fact, cheat. Interestingly enough, the study revealed that men with deeper voices were more inclined to engage in cheating, whereas women's voices were not conclusively linked to the likelihood of cheating.

The researchers believed that their findings had a lot to do with the testosterone levels in men. The relation between their masculine voices and the possibility of infidelity is thereby linked to their testosterone.
The South African revealed a quote from the findings that said: "Testosterone and the characteristics dependent on testosterone can be reliable indicators of quality-dependent conditions or behaviours; therefore, men with higher testosterone levels, and hence lower voices, may have more infidelity behaviours or less commitment to their romantic relationship."
Definitely an interesting topic, but we're not certain we are ready to believe that kind of research. Each to their own...
