Ndaba Mandela speaks candidly about what his grandfather would think about South Africa today...
In honour of the late Nelson Mandela's birthday, each year South Africans and people from all around the world come together to share his spirit with those that need it most.
And in true fashion, Carol Ofori took this opportunity to speak to Ndaba Mandela, Tata Madiba's grandson.
When asked about the plans for the day, Ndaba Mandela spoke about spending the day in Qunu, specifically in the area of Mqhekezweni.
They are a part of an organisation called 'Tangible Africa', which teaches kids from all around Africa coding through the use of cellphones.
Students from four schools were competing in a coding competition and the winner took home R1,000.
He challenged us with moving forward as a nation by putting the youth at the forefront of everything.
This resonated with his grandfather's vision for South Africa, and he went on to say that his grandfather would be disappointed with the current state of our country.
His immense passion for the youth is both admiring and inspiring, especially considering his grandfather's love for children.
