A 39-year-old Japanese man, Takashi Miyagawa, has been accused of tricking 35 different women in pursuit of getting birthday gifts.
Imagine fooling people into believing that it is your birthday on different days of the year and receiving birthday gifts all year round?
Is that scandalous or what?
An article in Metro recently revealed that Takashi Miyagawa, a 39-year old Japanese man, pursued relationships with 35 different women in the hopes of receiving birthday gifts throughout the year.
It is alleged that he purposefully told each of them a different date for his birthday. In addition, he led them into believing that marriage was definitely a possibility.
The women found out about his shenanigans and joined forces with each other, consequently reporting him to the police.
The ladies claimed that he duped them out of a lot of money. According to the article, the gifts equated to 100,000 Yen, which roughly translates to R13,000!
Although this story supports the stereotypical view that all the good men are taken, don't be fooled by the Takashis of the world - there's someone for everyone, you just have to keep searching.
Have you been a victim of something similar?
Our advice: don't cry over spilt milk, get up and dry those tears and keep moving! You got this!
