Leading South African bookmaker, Hollywoodbets, and East Coast Radio are happy to announce their 'The Future is Bright' project, showing their
support of tertiary education by making a substantial investment of
R100,000 in bursaries for 2021.
To say 2020 has been a rollercoaster of a year is an understatement, but it truly showed us what our communities are capable of if we all come together.

Hollywoodbets has always been an active role player in their communities and has supported an incredible amount of charitable organisations and development sports teams through their 'My Community' programme.
Since the start of this coronavirus pandemic, Hollywoodbets has donated R1-million to their 'My Community' beneficiaries as part of their Hollywoodbets and Lighthouse Foundation 'Brighter Future Project', as well as making massive donations to the Nelson Mandela Foundation, The Solidarity Fund, and the PinkDrive.

Not only that, but they have also assisted in providing food parcels to various communities, including the Verulam community right here in KZN.
Now they want to contribute even more towards the educational development and growth of South African youth.
Statistics that were recently released, spoke about the high unemployment rate of our South African youth, and the reality is that many of them are graduates. We, therefore, pride ourselves on the fact that we can offer employment opportunities to our bursars. We are looking forward to 2021 and we hope to continue investing in the communities that are in need of a helping hand.- Sandisiwe Bhengu, Operations Executive of Hollywoodbets

East Coast Radio is also very excited to be a part of such an amazing initiative.
I am passionate about education because I believe that a good education sets the foundation for a bright future. If we as South Africans can invest more in education, we will get the best dividends in our future generations. Lastly, Tata Madiba once said; education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world and I truly believe there is merit in that.- Managing Director at East Coast Radio, Boni Mchunu
Through this collaboration, we want to do our part by opening new doors for the future leaders of South Africa.
