#FlashbackFriday: The snacks we would bring back from our childhood
We take a walk down snack road and reminisce about those amazing snacks we grew up with...
We heard about a petition that has been doing the rounds, and it has been directed at Nestlé asking them to bring back one of South Africa's beloved chocolates, the Chocolate Log.
So in the spirit of celebrating our favourite snacks that have been discontinued, we asked you to reminisce with us and share your favourite snacks with us. And, of course, in true East Coast Family tradition, you all came through for us with a bang...
From snacks like Shooters and the Fast Forward chocolate, you really took us back. Because the thing is, these snacks aren't just our favourites because they tasted good, these snacks are representations of our childhood.
They mark memories from key moments that we all experienced as children, and that sense of innocence that we all related to. Those memories are priceless, we cannot get them back, so when we think of these snacks, we always have a small sense of hope.
Hope for their return so that we can somehow relive those innocent times, and possibly escape the problems that the real world sometimes dishes up.
