EMOTIONAL: Waiter, Simon Ndlovu, retires after 36 years and receives HUGE R27k tip
What a wonderful sentiment...
Giving one's time, service, and dedication to your work is surely an admirable quality. It is a great signifier of a keeper, you know, a person who is definitely an ideal colleague and employee.
This man, Simon Ndlovu, is one such person. He has been working at the Bryanston Country Club for 36 years. And as he begins his retirement, he got a wonderful surprise from some of the patrons...
"Every month, the Bryanston Country Club holds a prize evening for its members. On Friday 28 January, Julian Thorrold and his table won R27 000. Thorrold announced that his table agreed that if they won, they would donate the money to Simon Ndlovu who was retiring from the country club after working there as a waiter for 36 years." (MSN)
To say it was emotional is an understatement. What incredible generosity -this is what makes BCC so special.

Simon wrote a beautiful letter to the club and it regained the state of mind that there are still humble, kind, and good people in the world. The letter was addressed to the Bryanston Country Club members.
The paragraph that really tugged at our heart strings read:
"I have always been devoted in ensuring that your visit at BCC becomes a memorable one through the service I render to you. With those words I would like you all to know that goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because with those who love with their heart and soul, there is no such thing as separation." In the tough times everybody has been through in the past two years, people are looking for inspiration and signs of hope … Justin’s table gave that to us in bucket loads on Friday. Simon is such a worthy recipient of this generosity.
