Which one of these is your favourite?
Since we are celebrating women this month, we wanted to celebrate women in their element.
And one such woman is our daytime diva, Carol Ofori. She not only is experimental with her natural hair, but she also wears it as a crown, which has led her to achieving some great accomplishments.
The lovely Carol and Greg Ofori also celebrated their eight-year wedding anniversary this week, and they really are the epitome of what all marriages should strive toward.

She recently shared five hairstyles that every black woman should try out at least once. You know what they say, a woman's hair is her crowning glory, so perhaps if you decide to be more adventurous with your hair, the confidence and royalty will come...
1. Single braids, box braids, and knotless braids
These create a fashion statement but do take some time to do. "If you have weak edges, don’t keep these in for too long, and remember to moisturise your scalp at all times, and don’t pull them back in high ponytails because that puts even more stress on your edges.
"I love wearing this hairstyle really long, but it looks great short as well, making it a very versatile look." (Carol Ofori)
2. Cornrows
Now we love this on Carol, and we have to say that not many women can fail at this hairstyle. It is certainly a go-to and Carol believes that every black girl should try this style at least once.
Personalising them the way Alicia Keys did way back when, showed how revolutionary this style can be.
3. Wigs
These are so convenient, and the best for whatever mood you are in. Carol swears by wigs and enjoys matching different styles to the mood she is in on any given day.
4. In love with the fro, the Afro...
Carol has shared her hair journey with us before and it was journey that taught her a lot about self love.
"I used to have relaxed hair and I cut all of it off and I have kept my natural hair since 2016. I believe every black girl should, at some point, wear their natural hair in its natural form. Whatever that natural state is, you owe it to yourself to explore it at some point in your hair journey." (Carol Ofori)

5. Micro-weaving and micro-bonding
"I remember when hairstylists used to use little elastics to achieve this look, now they use these clips that melt into your hair so that it all looks natural. I love it because it’s versatile.
"It gives you a little extension if you want your hair straight without wearing a wig, or it’s the perfect accompaniment for a high ponytail with your own hair combined in there." (Carol Ofori)
As usual, her honesty is always welcomed, as she shares that this hairstyle is quite demanding in that it requires professional help with installation, maintenance, and removal.
