#BestOfTheWeek: From being subjected to weight checks to vintage Vicks VapoRub
Updated | By East Coast Radio
We take a look at the top stories from Carol Ofori's week...
We have to start off with a story that got us looking at things from the other side of the coin, which is something we push each other to do daily.
We hear about a story from a former Emirates Airlines employee, who shared that she was subjected to weight checks after a colleague complained that she had gained some weight.
"I was really upset for so long and then I lost my self-confidence. My two or three kilo extra weight didn't prevent me doing my job."

Then we saw a cute story that got KZN talking. A woman who had been asked what her secret was when it comes to having a solid relationship responded by saying that her now boyfriend and her decided to have a contract in place before embarking on their relationship.
It obviously is proving to work out well. The contract, which is 17-pages long, has some clear objectives set out from both sides. Check out what she had to say by clicking here.
We saw a woman who raved about using a tub of Vicks VapoRub that expired in 1987 on her son and he surprisingly felt much better. It got us thinking about things that we loved using as kids and people came through on the tweet sharing things they remember from their childhood.
Check it out here.
Then we saw our very own Carol Ofori being celebrated for Women Crush Wednesday. She has been nominated for a Sebenza Women in Radio Award and she did a cute video of what it means to 'sebenza'.
We loved it so much that we had to share it here. Check it out below (courtesy of Instagram):
Then we revisited a Miss South Africa hopeful who shared a very personal story with us a few months back, when she revealed that she was abandoned in a box outside a factory in Chatsworth.
She has now become the ambassador for a safe haven group in South Africa called Baby Savers South Africa. They encourage parents to be responsible in these cases and instead of abandoning their babies, leave them in a safe place.
She shared her story with us, you can listen to it and read about her story here.
