#BestOf2021: Carol Ofori shares her top Bad Moms Club stories
Updated | By East Coast Radio
A safe platform for mothers (and fathers) to share their parenting stories...
One of the most popular and on brand features from the Carol Ofori show has got to be Bad Moms Club. Every Thursday morning parents from all walks of life share their parenting dilemmas with Carol and KZN.
It's no easy feat being a parent, add in all the challenges that the pandemic brought with it, and you can feel like you are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
So, Carol Ofori offered up a solution to parents all around the province to share their dilemmas with her and the rest of KZN. Seeking honest feedback and advice from other parents is one way of raising our children. After all, they say it takes a village, and that's no lie.
In addition, Carol has Parent Coach and Education Specialist, Ayanda Tetyana, on the show to share her expert advice with the parents. Carol decided to share two of the most memorable and impactful stories from this year.
The one being where a parent shared her story about her daughter who came home from school one day saying she didn't want to be brown anymore. Of course, this is a sensitive one, and as parents there are those moments where we don't actually know what to do.
Luckily, Carol, KZN, and Ayanda came in with their honest and motivational tips and advice about how to handle this. The best part being that other parents who have been through similar experiences getting to share their stories too. It sort of united us in all our diversity.

The other one was the story about the father who bought his son a kitchen. Many people have that old school, closed-minded mentality when it comes to buying gifts that are gender specific. But this story was received in such a positive and uplifting manner.
It really warmed Carol's heart how KZN came together in support of this parent. It shows that we can all connect with others on some level and that stereotypes are slowly becoming a thing that can be shattered.
