Even Carol Ofori is coming back to work this Monday...
We have all enjoyed being at home with the family. Enjoying the time off, especially after the long and challenging year that was 2021. But more than that, we are ready and waiting to get back into the spin of things.
Ready to smash out new habits, focus on all the good that we have to give and that this year has to give us. In order for that to go smoothly and for you to feel prepared, we wanted to share a checklist or guideline to get you started.

First on the list is, meal prepping. Make sure that you have all your shopping done. If you shop weekly, then make sure you have your lunches planned out. This is such a time saver and also helps you eat healthier and save money. It also helps you mirror good habits to your kids when it comes to planning.
Then there's your laundry. Make sure you have all your work outfits laundered and ironed so that it makes life that much easier. The more time you allocate to plan for your week, the more relaxed and productive your week will be.
Then comes the admin. Make sure that you have arranged for activities for the kids. If they are still young, then whoever is caring for them, make sure you pack their lunches and snacks and label them properly.
Also make sure that their bags are packed with spare clothing, stationery, emergency numbers, and that transport is sorted for them.
Another piece of admin, make sure that you have read any emails that you needed to catch up on for work. That your car is topped up with petrol and cleaned. You are ready to leave early on Monday morning, because you know that others are also starting work, so there may be traffic (Make sure to stay updated with the ECR traffic report).
If you work from home, then make sure that your study or office space is neat and tidy and ready for you. Spring clean so that you have a fresh and productive workspace. Out with the old and in with the positive...

And last but certainly not least, make sure to take some time out for you in the morning. Whether that means making time for a morning walk or jog, or yoga, or maybe it means taking time to have breakfast as a family.
Practice something that makes you start off your day with a smile. Believe us when we say it will be the best thing to do because it sets the tone for the rest of your day. Happy people make an effort to create their own happiness - remember that.
Have a lovely first day back at work!
