How refreshing to hear a personalised and pride-filled collection of what Mzansi has to offer.
The Easter holidays are around the corner and what better way to connect with family than to travel?
We often hear about families coming together to celebrate each other during this time of year - and now there is a full-on guide that helps both locals and tourists 'do' SA and experience the best succinctly.
Fikile Hlatswayo, the author of bestselling book ’Blacks Do Caravan' - based on her epic journey documenting caravan sites throughout South Africa, has done it again with her new book, 'Born to Travel - Ultimate Luxury Destinations in Mzanzi'.
Besides Fikile's well decorated educational accolades, she has always had a passion for travel.
Her work experience has supported her passion, by allowing her to write on things such as export growth in Africa, travelling through SA caravan parks and most recently expressing the luxurious side of Mzansi.
"Fikile is an award-winning author recognized by the KZN Chamber of Commerce for the exceptional contribution to knowledge into Tourism literature. She is a seasoned motivational speaker who graced high-profile events such as Kingsmead Book Festival, Midlands Book Festival, Lowveld Book Festival, Tourism Indaba, Essence Book Festival, Art in the Park, South Africa Adventure Summit, International Tourist Guides conference and many more events." 'Born to Travel - Ultimate Luxury Destinations in Mzanzi' seeks to demystify the stereotypes around Africa being a lost continent impoverished by poverty and crime. In this First Edition, the focus is on South Africa as a destination of choice in Africa.
The book further covers adventure and family activities such as swimming in waterfalls, ziplining, hot air ballooning, horse riding on the beach, game drives, skydiving, quad biking, and much more.
Experience the most thrilling and romantic sunsets while exploring the warmth of the African bush and being intimate with wildlife.
It seems just as her name expresses, Fikile (Just Arrived) is allowing people from all walks of life to arrive in South Africa and experience it in the best way possible.
