Are you even South African without green bar soap?

If you know, then you know, but if you don't, then you might be questioning your heritage, according to TikTokers.
There are certain South Africanisms that we all just grew up with and one of those things is closely connected to Sunlight green bar soap.
If you didn't grow up with green bar soap in your home, then it almost feels as if you are not South African.
It was a stock standard practice to use green bar soap in our homes. Although most people know it to be a laundry soap, it has also been known for its uses for hair and beauty.

A couple who go by the TikTok name, 'The Benekes', shared something on their page that really hit the nail on the head with this brand.
They picked on an evergreen (sadly) trending topic that is affecting all South Africans.
Loadshedding and watershedding. Two very serious, very sensitive topics for many South Africans. But this influencer couple from Umhlanga managed to bring some laughter and 'light' to these topics.

One thing is for certain, the amount of togetherness displayed in the comments section really indicated how green bar soap is part of our heritage.
