#AppreciationMonday: Carol Ofori - "I cried in this interview, it was that powerful..."
Updated | By East Coast Radio
When tears visit, you know it's got to be powerful...
We've been chatting a lot about our heritage recently.
As much as that has a big part to do with Heritage Month, it is also a time that should remind us to actually take some time to show appreciation for the diversity that is engrained within us.
And one of the greatest things about being South African is that we are so blended. Carol Ofori is not short on her wealth of knowledge and appreciation for our beloved country and continent.
This is why we wanted to share a powerful and positive interview that she had with Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp.
We love that this woman who we call the 'Daytime Queen' is able to flow into varied hats. The way she speaks about our country and Africa is not just powerful, but personalised.
What started off as wanting to share the richness of African stories with her kids, turned into a celebration of heritage for so many other African families.

Seeing Africa through the eyes of a mother, an independent woman, a business lady, and a proud child of Africa is not just honest, but also endearing.
This realisation of a milestone moment for Carol Ofori and her family is also a celebration of our heritage, our culture, and for women of South Africa and beyond.
Take a listen to the interview below.
