The Manchester derby is scheduled to start at 21h00 - South African time.
Manchester United lead Manchester City by 15 points at the summit.
Nemanja Vidic and Jonny Evans are both doubtful for the home side.
Better news for the Red Devils is that Wayne Rooney should be fit to face City.
The visitors will again be without Jack Rodwell.
He should be okay for the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea this weekend.
Chelsea are third in the league standings.
They lead Tottenham Hotspur on goal-difference.
Chelsea beat Sunderland 2-1 on Sunday.
Spurs were held to a 2-2 draw by Everton.
Emanuel Adebayor opened the scoring after just 34 seconds at White Hart Lane.
Papiss Cisse netted a late winner for Newcastle United against Fulham.
It was the only goal at St James's Park yesterday.
Queens Park Rangers and Wigan Athletic drew 1-1 at Loftus Road, while it ended goalless between Liverpool and West Ham United at Anfield.
Reading remain bottom of the standings.
They are a point behind QPR and trail third-from-bottom Wigan by eight points.
Inter Milan lost in Italian Serie A on Sunday.
Atalanta edged Inter 4-3 in Milan.
AC Milan drew with Fiorentina.
