Proteas wilt in the desert

Pakistan have ended day two of the first cricket Test against South Africa on 263 for three in their first innings.

Pakistan lead the Proteas by 14 runs in Abu Dhabi.
Khurram Manzoor is undefeated on 131, while Shan Masood is out for 75.
Masood is making his Test debut.
Vernon Philander, Morne Morkel and JP Duminy have taken a wicket apiece.
Hashim Amla had earlier been dismissed for 118.
The Proteas were all out for 249.
This is the first of two Tests.
