*Photos* Bluff big wave action
These pics were taken at Cave Rock on the Bluff earlier this week.
Surfers cashed in on the big swells off our coast and caught some monster waves.
Of course, the annual Mr Price Pro Ballito Beach Festival returns to KZN shortly, bringing with it the much-anticipated live beach music concerts. These will be free for all festival goers.
They will be held at Salt Rock beach on 4, 5 and 6 July and boast spectacular line-ups featuring the best of South African music talent. Each evening will centre around a specific genre, accounting for all tastes and enabling guests to get the very most out of their experience.
Thursday 4th July will offer guests a night of Kwaito, hip hop, Afro pop and Afro jazz. Friday’s music is a rock and pop theme - including aKing and Prime Circle. The line-up for Saturday 6th has been specifically designed to keep the audience dancing on the beach until late with Gangs ofBallet, iScream & the Chocolate Stix and Pascal & Pearce among others.
Meanwhile, Jordy Smith will face Fredrick Patacchia in his third round heat at the Oakley Pro Bali.
Travis Logie ended up not featuring in the second round on Thursday.
The Durban surfer failed to recover in time from the cuts suffered in Fiji earlier this month.
Kelly Slater will be up against Indonesian, Putra Hermawan, in his third round outing in Bali.
Defending world champion, Joel Parkinson, has a third round date with Damien Hobgood.
Mick Fanning will be up against Yadin Nicol.
