KP out of Champions Trophy

Kevin Pietersen will miss the ICC Champions Trophy later this year.

Pietersen has a knee injury and is only likely the train again in about seven weeks.

The Proteas will launch their Champions Trophy campaign against India on 6 June.

They will meet in Cardiff.

South Africa will also face both Pakistan and West Indies in the Champions Trophy group stage.
