Kolisi the latest to re-commit to Sharks
Updated | By Nick Tatham
Off the back of a host of new signings and recommitments to
the Cell C Sharks, Springbok captain Siya Kolisi has become the latest player to
re-commit to the franchise until 2027.
Kolisi joined the Sharks in 2021 from Western Province and has immediately made an impact on the side. His arrival at Hollywoodbets Kings Park has played a big part in the Sharks’ push for a home Vodacom United Rugby Championship quarter-final.
The re-signing of the Bok skipper comes a day after Makazole Mapimpi re-signed with the Sharks and 48 hours since talismanic centre Lukhanyo Am also recommitted to the Durban-based franchise.
The five year commitment that Kolisi has made with the Sharks will see the 30 year-old remain with the Sharks until he is 35 and arguably towards the end of his career.

Along with those three Springboks Eben Etzebeth, Rohan Janse van Rensberg, Carlu Sadie, Vincent Tshituka and Lionel Cronje will all call Durban home next season and there have been five other players to re-commit to the Sharks for an extended period.
