Cardiff v Watford

Cardiff has done an incredible job to be in the running for safety at this point. Nobody thought that the end of February would come and that they would still have a chance at survival, so massive credit to them.

Watford won’t be an easy team to beat, the Hornets are still in the mix for Europa places and Javi Garcia will expect a performance from his side. The only issue I have with Watford is that they are a terribly inconsistent team…and in this League consistency is vital.

Prediction: 2 – 1 

West Ham v Fulham

West Ham seem to be able to generate positive performances on their home patch, they have lost just once in their last six outings (which include avoiding defeat to both Arsenal and Liverpool).

Fulham look destined to make a return to Championship football, despite spending lavishly in the window, the Cottagers have failed to produce consistent positive results this season. They don’t score enough goals to justify their poor defence, so I can’t see past a home win here.

Prediction: 2 – 0 

Burnley v Spurs

I think this is a massive game for Spurs. They are on a bit of a run and if they win here (and Liverpool slip-up - too soon Stevie? - against United) they a just two points off top spot. Given they still need to play Liverpool, they are still in the run. The Clarets started the 2018/2019 season in terrible shape, they won just two of their opening fifteen league games and looked a shoo-in for relegation.

Fortunately for Sean Dyche and his chargers they themselves have found a bit of form and gone on a bit of a run, they are hard to beat again and the mood at Turf Moor is upbeat again.

Prediction: 1 - 3 

Bournemouth v Wolves

Bournemouth are a team who find themselves struggling to hold a position in the League right now, they have lost six from their last seven games and while the brand of football is still intriguing, it isn’t near the level we saw at the start of the season.

Wolves aren’t doing terrible, they managed to progress in the FA Cup (which I think is incredible, a cup run is exactly what a side like this needs) and have an impressive record in the League.

This game could go either way, you wouldn’t be surprised to see either side win, so I’ll go for a score draw.

Prediction: 1 – 1

 Newcastle v Huddersfield

Newcastle will be kicking themselves when they look back at their horrid start to the League season. They have managed to turn it around in recent weeks but remain in danger of being dragged into the relegation scrap. Failing to win any of the opening ten matches just cannot happen – simple as that.

Huddersfield have only managed to pick up just six points from a possible thirty-six away from home this season and I can’t see them troubling Rafa Benitez and his side. Newcastle must win this game and those St. James’ Park faithful will be up for this one.

Prediction: 1 – 0 

Leicester v C Palace

Claude Puel is under a bot of pressure at the minute as the Foxes are now winless in five League matches. Jamie Vardy on the bench against Spurs made no sense, Leicester didn’t deserve to lose the game and, although he missed a penalty, it goes without saying that he has the talent to affect a game.

Palace will come into this game and attack – it’s all they know, and we love watching it! This will be an exciting game for the neutral fan with goals galore.

Prediction: 1 – 2 

Manchester United v Liverpool

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has continued to ensure that his name remains on the table for the United job, everyone put his early run of victories down to the fact that he played ‘easy’ opposition. Now while we can argue that for some time, its games like Arsenal, PSG and Chelsea where he has allowed every United fan around the world to once again say “We’ve got our United back”.

PSG was always going to be the better team, whether they had injuries or not, but United tried to impose their game on the Parisians – they were brave. Their response in the FA Cup against Chelsea was phenomenal, the game plan was simple: we are going to attack and try put you under pressure for 90 minutes.

Their Premier League form is second to none right now, they have won eight games from their last nine since there was a change in management, drawing just one. This has put them in the top 4 picture, and with Arsenal and Chelsea beginning to slip, their qualification hopes are very much alive.

Arch rivals Liverpool stand in their way on Sunday, the visitors may have been knocked off top spot by City but with a game in hand will be desperate to pick up maximum points on their quest to lift the Premier League title.

Liverpool will know that getting a win on Sunday would be massive for the domestic season, but if there is one team who will want nothing more than to stop them, it’s their fiercest rivals from a little way up the M62.

You better believe tensions will be running high come Sunday afternoon, fans all over the globe will be glued to their televisions or at their local pubs watching, as these sides lock horns.

Prediction: 2 – 2 

Arsenal v Southampton

Arsenal never have any issues with beating so-called lesser teams. Their home form is also decent its just their inconsistency that trips them up. Southampton will come to the Emirates and look at this game as a free-hit, if they can get something out of it so be it, but if they don’t, they won’t be too upset.

I can’t see past an Arsenal win here.
