Following the excitement of the SA20 competition, the
CSA 4-Day Domestic Series returns as the Hollywoodbets Dolphins take on Western
Province at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium starting on Sunday.
The Dolphins will be without a handful of players who
are in the Pretoria Capitals and Sunrisers Eastern Cape squads for the SA20
final on Saturday, however coach Imraan Khan has managed to select a strong
squad for the clash.
Brad Porteous, Matthew Pollard, Slade van Staden and Hlompo Modimokoane come into the squad for the clash as the Dolphins go into the match without Marques Ackerman, SJ Erwee, Jon-Jon Smuts, Ottniel Baartman, Daryn Dupavillon and Eathan Bosch.
Khan, his coaching staff and his players are looking forward to getting back into the whites and continuing their domestic season.

“It’s been a busy period for a lot of the guys being involved in the SA20 but we are keen to get our domestic season back up and running again,” Khan said.
“Obviously we have a few guys that are involved in the final this weekend so we have brought in a few of the players that have been waiting in the wings.
“It’s going to be a great indicator of how the next generation of player is coming through and we’re looking forward to seeing how they go.”
The Dolphins will welcome back their test match Proteas in Keshav Maharaj and Keegan Petersen for the clash which will be a boost.
“It’s great to have Keegan back after his injury and he’ll firm up our batting line-up with a few of our top-order unavailable.
“Keshav continues to be an incredible servant to Dolphins cricket and we are always happy to have him in the mix.
“Andile (Phehlukwayo) was involved in the SA20 semi-final on Wednesday and is in the squad which shows his commitment to the Dolphins.”
The Dolphins haven't played red ball cricket since November 2022 when they drew their match with the Rocks at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium.
With only two matches under their belt on the 4-Day Domestic Series this season, they will be eager to to get that first win of the competition against a Western Province side that have won two of their three matches so far.
