Chiefs part ways with Gavin Hunt
Updated | By Nick Tatham
Kaizer Chiefs have cancelled the contract of head coach Gavin Hunt
with immediate effect.
Hunt took over at the helm of the Glamour Boys following the sacking of Ernst Middendorp but hasn’t hit his straps at Naturena.
Chiefs are currently sitting in eleventh on the DSTV Premiership table with just six wins this season but the side are in the semi-final of the CAF Champions League.
In a statement on their Twitter page Chiefs have put in a contingency plan as they head towards the end of the season.
“In the interim, Assistant Coaches Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sheppard will take charge of the senior team.
“The Club will make further announcements in due course.”
Their next clash is a DSTV Premiership clash against Golden Arrows on 2 June before their final clash of the local season on 5 June against TS Galaxy.
The side then shift their focus to African competition when they face Wydad AC in the CAF Champions League semi-final on 18 June.
