Bulls will face either Stormers or Ulster, who meet Saturday, for the title.

A late Morne Steyn penalty settled Friday's game after Bulls had also led 17-14 at half-time with tries from Johan Grobbelaar and captain Marcell Coetzee.

Robbie Henshaw and Dan Sheehan crossed for Leinster but a 52nd-minute penalty try gave the Bulls a 10-point lead.

Rory O'Loughlin and Cian Healy scored tries for the Irish province but the Bulls, coached by World Cup winner Jake White, held on.

Steyn's key 76th-minute penalty meant Healy's last-gasp try was too little, too late.
