Weekend weather warning for KZN
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
The SA Weather Service is urging motorists to be cautious on the roads as heavy rains are expected in KZN this weekend.
SAWS yesterday issued out a warning that KZN residents should expect disruptive rain that could lead to localized flooding.
Forecaster Ayanda Nsele says 80% of thundershowers are expected across the province but 60% chances in the northern region.
"As it is the end of school holidays most will be driving in preparation of schools reopening so we urge drivers to be cautious", she said.
"We expect roads will be slippery while visibility will be poor due to heavy rains that are expected", Nsele said.
The N3 Toll Concession has also urged month-end travellers to prepare for high volumes and possible delays on the route this weekend, as schools are reopening on Monday.
