Project Rhino in KZN says the threat against our rhino population is still very real.
It comes as two more rhino were poached at the iMfolozi Game Reserve.
In a statement released yesterday, Ezemvelo Wildlife said four armed poachers held up two guards before robbing them of a firearm and radio.
The poachers then went on to kill a female white rhino and a calf inside - removing one of the animal's horns.

Project Rhino spokesperson, Chris Galliers says poachers are becoming more aggressive.
"In the last few weeks, the rhinos poached were already dehorned. I think we're entering into an interesting phase. As Project Rhino, one of our programmes is to support our reserves in terms of dehorning. We need that support, It is helping but that's only a temporary solution," he said.
Ezemvelo says this year, 99 rhino have been poached so far in KZN.
